Coming Up Short 9

A young man wakes in his basement. His face and arms are scratched and cut. His clothes are blood stained and trails of blood flow across the basement floor to his very large freezer. Though he can’t recall what happened to him, he knows something horrible lies waiting in the freezer. The idea of opening the freezer’s lid terrify him, but he also knows his mother will return home at any moment and she may be the scariest thing of all. A doctor of Psychiatry knows a coworker’s behavior has altered significantly after receiving a dark necklace in the mail. She also knows this necklace is very familiar to her, though she can’t remember why. When her coworker begins suffering memory loss related to her mother, the good doctor realizes she must do some digging into work files to understand the evil things hiding under the surface. Once she does, what she uncovers is enough to shake her to her very core. The secrets that are exposed are far more personal than she is prepared to comprehend. K
