The Raven, The Cask of Amontillado, The Tell-Tale Heart

These dual-language versions of The Cask of Amontillado and The Tell-Tale Heart from Language Magic™ are original translations optimized to aid language learners on the fast-track to fluency. The version of The Raven was translated by Carl Theodore Eben in 1869, and while beautiful, language learners may find it more difficult. Eben took poetic license to make the rhyme and meter align with the English. Hence, with this work, Eben’s German translation of the English carries the overall meaning and spirit of the passage, but it doesn’t track the English as closely as it does in our other dual-language offerings.
