Limitless Power in the Holy Spirit

Charles Finney was one of the most influential and powerful ministers throughout the Second Great Awakening during the 1800s. He is most widely known for his incredible revivals, which contain some of the most amazing God stories in modern church history. The most retold of which is on the day when he visited a cotton factory at New York Mills for a simple tour. Upon his arrival, one of the cotton workers began to laugh at him and mock him for his faith in Jesus. Charles simply looked at her in silence with those piercing eyes. Suddenly, the cotton worker’s thread broke and she frantically attempted to restring it. But before she could, she was overwhelmed with the conviction of the Holy Spirit and began to openly weep.
