Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and polymath during the Classical period in Ancient Greece. His writings cover many subjects including physics, biology, zoology, metaphysics, logic, ethics, aesthetics, poetry, theatre, music, rhetoric, psychology, linguistics, economics, politics and government. "The Nicomachean Ethics" addresses the question of how the individual should best live. "Metaphysics" examines what can be asserted about any being insofar as it is and not because of any special qualities that it may possess. "Poetics" is the earliest surviving work of dramatic theory and the first extant philosophical treatise on literary theory. In "Rhetoric", the philosopher identifies rhetoric as one of the three key elements of philosophy, along with logic and dialectic.
