Laid out before you is a harsh and cheerless world, where all the shots are called by the omnipresent System. The inhabitants live in gloomy corridors with no ends in sight, appearing here not only with no memory, but also totally deprived of their limbs. They are all "volitional nullforms," meaning that they agreed to this fate, and despite no one remembering when or why they did so, they all strive to survive at any cost. Number 11, known to all as Elb, has no intention of eking out a miserable existence, wanting instead to understand what is going on.
