All of Grace

All of Grace is C.H. Spurgeon's easy-to-understand presentation of salvation through Christ’s grace alone. The title is a bit misleading because the word "of" was used differently in his day than it is today. A true modernization of the title would be "All by Grace", for that is the central message of this book. It is not a quantification of grace ("all" as opposed to "some"), but rather a declaration of salvation's very source. Indeed, Spurgeon himself writes at the outset, "[I]t is not the object of this book to ask anything of you, but to tell you that salvation is all of grace, which means, free, gratis, for nothing." The book is based on Romans 5:20 - “Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound” - and is perhaps Spurgeon's most famous written work.
